Our Back Story
Long before Better Fashions came into existence, the family stepped in and took the leap into world of sustainable textiles in the year 2002 showcasing their connection with culture and tradition with their jute business. This early venture sowed the seeds of artistry and purpose. The family experienced the power of conscious creation and felt the spark which motivated to contribute to something more valuable and meaningful. Today, Better Fashions continues to carry forward the legacy of empowerment and tradition.
Roots and threads
The objective came from the inspirational stitching heritage that Neelam grew up watching where hands wove memories in addition to fabric. Since the early years of Neelam’s life she developed a deep love for stitching, and envisioned a brand that would honour India’s rich textile legacy while making it economically reasonable for contemporary women. Arpita introduced a new, vibrant viewpoint that combined youthful vigour with a strong regard for custom. They shared the vision of a place where people from different cultures could come together over textiles.
